HEINOLA sawline to Kåge sawmill in Sweden
Published on: Tuesday 2. February 2010Heinola Sawmill Machinery Inc. delivers a new sawline to the Kåge sawmill in the Northern Sweden. The sawmill is owned by the forest owner's association Norra Skogsägarna Ekonomiska Förening. This association is owned by its members, approx. 15,000 private forest owners. The delivery contract was signed on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. This delivery includes the HEINOLA sawline equipment together with installation, implementation, electrification and automation.
The sawline will be equipped with chipper canters, circular saws and sideboard profiling with optimization. The annual production of the new sawline will be approx. 200,000 m3 sawn timber. The design of the plant will start immediately and the erection of the equipment in summer 2010. The new line will be on production towards the end of this year. The value of the contract is about 5 MEUR.
HEINOLA will strengthen its position in Sweden with this delivery. The sawline to be delivered includes several functions of a modern profiling sawline. An example of these solutions is controlled curve sawing based on 3D scanning.
