Breakthrough onto the Swedish market for HEINOLA’s drying kilns
Heinola Sawmill Machinery Inc. has made a breakthrough onto the Swedish market, signing its first drying kiln deal with the Moelven Group. Moelven Nötnäs AB, based in Torsby, Sweden, is ordering HCH forklift-loaded chamber kilns from HEINOLA. Initially these will replace older drying kilns, improving both drying quality and working conditions. The next stage will increase future capacity.
The investment includes turnkey delivery of two chamber kilns. At the same time, 12 existing chamber kilns will be connected to the HEINOLA Eco Kiln Automation System. The deal also includes an option for an additional two new chamber kilns and improvement of the board drying efficiency of the three existing two-zone progressive kilns. The chamber kilns will be equipped with load presses, hot water spraying systems, energy indicators and the user-friendly HEINOLA Eco Control System, which features the integrated QualityChamber® Opti Simulator.
“We compared different suppliers but ended up choosing HEINOLA as they provided what we wanted and we had good experiences working with HEINOLA on our earlier sawline project”, explains Moelven Notnäs AB’s MD Peter Broberg.“HEINOLA is an experienced equipment supplier and this investment will provide us with well-tested solutions and the latest expertise when it comes to drying expertise. For us, their project management, technical support and maintenance services, as well as the user-friendly HEINOLA Eco Control System were deciding factors in our selection of a drying kiln supplier.”
“We are currently Finland’s largest supplier of drying kilns, and this deal will open up routes into the Swedish market too for our drying kiln products”, says MD Kari Kiiskinen from Heinola Sawmill Machinery Inc.“The user-friendly control system has a key role to play in these new chamber kilns. At this time we are the only drying kiln supplier on the market providing the QualityChamber® simulator integrated into our drying kiln Control System. HEINOLA’s breakthrough on the Swedish market is the result of long-term, targeted investment. Heinola Sawmill Machinery Inc. would like to thank Moelven Notnäs AB for their confidence in us, and we are set to continue our long-term focus on ensuring proper drying quality.”
