Heinolan Sahakoneet Oy and OT-Control Oy have agreed on an asset deal whereby part of Heinolan Sahakoneet Oy’s automation operations will transfer to OT-Control Oy. This transaction supports the strategic goals of both companies and enables them to focus more effectively on core operations and expand their service offering.
Transaction details
The transaction will result in Heinolan Sahakoneet Oy transferring the operations of HEINOLA sawmill blade setting support system, HEINOLA edging automation system, HEINOLA green sorting automation system, HEINOLA dry sorting automation system and HEINOLA packaging automation system to OT-Control Oy. This transfer also includes some of the personnel, hardware, software, documentation and contracts related to these activities.
The transaction will enter into force on 1 January 2025 and both parties are committed to ensuring a smooth transition period during which customer service and reliability will remain unchanged.
Objectives and impacts
The transaction seeks to streamline Heinolan Sahakoneet Oy’s position in the industry and enable it to focus on its core business. OT-Control Oy will strengthen its automation expertise and deepen its range of services on the market.
The transaction will not immediately affect customers and customer service will continue as normal. The new personnel will be integrated into the OT-Control Oy team and their expertise will be used to develop new services.
