Chamber kilns

Forklift-operated chamber kilns are designed for drying small batches, regardless of dimensions, wood species, or final moisture content.

Forklift-operated chamber kilns are designed for drying small batches, regardless of dimensions, wood species, or final moisture content. Modern automation ensures controlled drying and the desired outcome. With a cart-loaded chamber kiln, it is possible to reduce the time spent on load changes, thereby improving utilization rates. The roof on both sides of the chamber can be used as a temporary storage area.

HEINOLA HCH chamber kilns are available in three different types:

  • Forklift-operated chamber kiln
  • Drive-through chamber kiln
  • E-cart-loaded chamber kiln.

Features of the HCHD chamber kiln

Long service life

Drying kiln structures made of stainless steel

Energy efficient

Premium insulation of the kilns.

Maintainability

Routine maintenance can be performed from the kiln's attic while the kiln is in operation.

Technical design

The load press cylinders are located in the kiln's attic space, away from the processing areas.

Safety

Potentially hazardous areas, such as rotating shafts, are protected with safety barriers.

Safety

Kiln door safety features, including redundant operations and fall protection guards for the doors.

Automation

Fully automated conveyor solutions and traversing cranes.

Automation

Load data, batch information, and cart RFID identification.

Capacity

With the intermediate door, the chambers can be used for different drying processes. Products in Chamber A can be dried to completion in Chamber B, allowing new production to be introduced into Chamber A.

Energy savings

High-efficiency IE5 blower motors from ABB SynRM, low energy consumption, and long maintenance interval.

Quiet operation

Silencers included as standard

Spraying

High-pressure spraying with water or steam spraying system options

Maintainability

The thick fins of the radiators can be cleaned with high-pressure washers
