Drying kiln automation is continuously evolving

In our latest drying kiln projects, we have achieved fully automated drying kilns. In 2023, we delivered the first completely automatic kiln system to Finland’s largest sawmill. Such a level of automation also involves essential safety aspects. With automation, human presence in the kiln areas can even be eliminated. Sweden is known for its particularly strict safety criteria in the sawmill industry. Therefore, it is significant that our kiln automation has been approved for use in production facilities of a Swedish furniture manufacturer and at Sweden’s largest sawmill.

HEINOLA kiln automation integrates advanced timber simulation tools for both chamber and channel kilns, optimizing the internal moisture transfer, shrinkage, and drying stresses of the timber being dried.
